Marching for Mother Meuse

Director: Ties Poeth
Using red clay, the Dutch animated filmmaker Ties Poeth visualises the countless armies and cultures that through the centuries descended on the fertile banks of the Meuse river. In a quick tempo, one image ingeniously transforms into the next. And with Poeth, too, the woman is moulded from the man's rib.
