This experimental film blends semi-documentary footage with a metaphorical tale. The film observes the steadily progressing work of a group of men gradually converting a tree from the Surinam rainforest into a 'korjaal' - a traditional dugout canoe. Interwoven, we see how two large golden barrels are transported from the city to the jungle. A self-willed, gold-clad man rides his moped through it all.
