An intimate documentary in which mothers and daughters have candid conversations in front of a mirror about self-image, identity and their relationship with their aging bodies.
In this graduation film, mothers and daughters jointly look into a mirror – and we look along. We follow their gaze, empathize with what they experience and discover their relationship to their reflection through the vulnerable, open conversations they have. These conversations touch on self-image and appearance in many ways, revealing that identity is as changeable as the body itself. How do women view aging in a society that clings to youthful beauty ideals? And how do these women show themselves, or choose not to?
