While a woman enters a quiet kitchen on a Monday morning, a man notes down in a pad: 'We think she's already too late, that he's already gone.' The woman looks around in the empty house, the man keeps on writing. She mounts the stairs. It is not clear whether the woman walks around in the house the man is writing in. This becomes visible in the final shot, when his thoughts about being loved and missed have barely evaporated.
