Surprising form for the third feature by Tykwer about Lola, a young woman who has to get hold of a hundred thousand Deutschmarks within twenty minutes for her boyfriend who is in danger of being murdered by gangsters. Tykwer leaves a lot to chance in the film and shows several variations on the tricks Lola uses to get the money.
