A 50-year-old wannabeartist embarks on a trip across Latin America, in search of his adoptive father. The road takes him along all sorts of eccentric relatives, including an uncle who is an animal murderer, a stepbrother sentenced to life imprisonment and a sweet Indian niece. This documentary, moulded as an artistic road movie, shows that you are nowhere without a family, even a remarkable one. But if you do end up without a single relative, art will always s offer comfort - or will it?
