Film version of Judith Herzberg's play about a wedding reception set in the early seventies and overshadowed by memories of the holocaust.
Adaptation of the play by Judith Herzberg of the same name, situated in 1970. At the wedding party of two people in their thirties, the personal sorrow of the wedding couple and their guests predominates. Lea's parents, both survivors of Auschwitz, struggle with the past. The father of Lea's new husband Nico lost his wife and eldest son in a camp and attends the wedding ceremony with his second wife. Leedvermaak won in 1989 three Golden Calves, for Best Direction, Best Actor (Pierre Bokma) and Best Actress (Annet Nieuwenhuijzen).
