Chinese Ling suffers from an extreme form of agoraphobia. She has arranged her life in such a way that she never has to see anyone. The curtains are permanently closed, she continually watches Chinese TV and only eats noodles. Then one morning, she is called by a demented Indian woman who claims she is her daughter. Under her influence, Ling breaks up her mode of living. When the woman stops calling, Ling has to look for her.
