In war-torn Iraq in 1988, Dileer (10) waits for the cartoons that the propaganda-dominated TV shows in the afternoon, but his sly cousin’s visit complicates things.
It is 1988 and Iraq is torn by the war with Iran. Propaganda dominates the TV programmes. In the afternoon, cartoons are scheduled that ten-year-old Dileer can hardly wait for. Before they begin, he tries to kill time with his sister. But when their sly cousin drops by with his mother, the question is whether Dileer will be in time for the cartoons.
