Lampie is the eleven-year-old lighthouse keeper’s daughter. When evening falls, she climbs upstairs to light the lantern. One stormy night, when it turns out the matches are finished, a ship is wrecked and father and daughter are separated. In disgrace, Lampie is sent to work as a maid at the Black House, where a monster lurks in the tower. Aided by showmen and a boy who is also a fish, Lampie gives all she’s got to find her father back, in this four-part family series.
