>Mijn zusje Jokeis a personal portrait of Johan van der Keuken's sister Joke who died on 8 August 1997 of cancer. Eight days before her death, the filmmaker and his wife Noshka had an openhearted conversation with her and filmed it with a digital videocamera. Two days before her death, a second shorter conversation followed. The film shows these philosophical talks about the meaning of life, vitality and passing on experiences, but also conversations about their relationship as it was in the family and is now. Van der Keuken also filmed Joke's own surroundings; her house, garden, daughters and paintings.
