Modern, unconventional drama, set on Sicilian soil. Dance, expression and the rugged Italian scenery together form the foundation for a wordless quest for legitimacy and connection.
This dance tragedy revolves around the feeling of misplacement and the eternal and universal human quest for connection. Inspired by the architectural installation De Verboden Tuin van Europa by Studio Wild, the dancers epitomise what it is like to be snatched from your familiar surroundings. Director Thomas Born teamed up with choreographer Dalton Jansen from Rotterdam-based dance company BlackBirds for this equally alienating and intimate viewing experience.
