Epic, English-spoken adaptation of the legendary Dutch children's book by Thea Beckman. Dolf wants to go back in time to redo a deciding pass in a soccer match. He gets into the time machine his mother is working on, but makes a mistake entering the date. He ends up in the thirteenth century, in the midst of a crusade of children on their way to liberate Jerusalem from the Arabs. When he has resigned to the fact that he can never go back, he sets himself up as protector of the children, who en route are subjected to the most terrible ordeals and threats. In his special role, Dolf uses his knowledge and implements from the twenty-first century. He gradually finds out that the leader of the crusade, father Anselmus, has a double agenda. Meanwhile, his mother, the scientist that designed the time machine, makes frantic attempts to get him back. Awarded a Platina Film in 2007.
