Country drama about the frustrated artist Roos Rozemond (Anneke Blok) from the city who seeks solace with a farmer who recently lost his wife. She meets him at a farming machinery fair, where she vainly tries to find inspiration. She does her utmost to be a match for his late wife. But due to her vivid fantasy she goes a little too far. She gets pregnant, but city and country life turn out to be incompatible. Kracht was made in cooperation with theatre group De Trust. Frouke Fokkema won the 1990 Golden Calf for Best Director.
