It begins as it ends: an eye, an ear, hands, a crown, fingers stroking hair. But the hair has turned grey and the skin has become wrinkled. In '44, a parachutist ends up in a town where a Nazi flag hangs from the church tower. Fleeing from German soldiers, he lands between white sheets that are left to dry. A young woman makes tea for him. She speaks Dutch, he speaks English. But will there be time to drink tea?
