Knor

Director: Mascha Halberstad
First Dutch feature-length stop-motion film is one to feast your eyes on! After all, in the adventure of 9-year-old Babs and her pet piglet, excitement meats fun.
For her ninth birthday, Babs’s grandpa from America gives her the piglet Oink for a present. To her parents’ annoyance, because Oink turns out to be quite the poop monster. On the condition that Oink will follow a puppy course, Babs can keep him. But as it turns out, grandpa has a hidden agenda in this Roald Dahlesque story (based on Tosca Menten’s bookDe wraak van Knor). Oink is not only the first feature-length stop-motion film by animator Mascha Halberstad, but also of the Netherlands. The typical Dutch details lend it a unique atmosphere, which was also appreciated abroad – for instance in Berlin, where the film was the first Dutch animated feature to be selected for the Berlinale.
