Even the livestock industry adheres to a certain aesthetic ideal. The cattle photographer, assisted by four sturdy men, captures beautifully shining, well-scrubbed cows.
A black-and-white fur is carefully washed. The cow moos softly. Now and then, we hear the farmer's reassuring words. After the washing, the animal is skilfully trimmed. Next, the spick-and-span cow has to stand on a platform with its front hoofs. It takes four grown-ups to do this correctly. Even in the world of the cattle farmer, a certain aesthetic ideal appears to be desired.
