Musical feature début is a light-hearted romantic drama about soccer, music and love. The story is set on the island of Texel, in Amsterdam and in the soccer stadium and is told, in voice-over, from the perspective of main character Johan Dros (Michiel Huisman). His Texel father and mother have named all their ten soccer-playing sons after famous Dutch players. Then, number 11 is born, Johan, the crowning glory of father Dros (Huub Stapel), as his team is complete now. But there is a problem: Johan hates soccer, but likes music. While his brothers make careers for themselves with the best teams in Holland, Johan devotes his time to his girlfriend Evy (Caro Lenssen) and plays music. His brother Johnny (Johnny de Mol) also fancies Evy, and not much later, when Johnny is lined up by Ajax, Evy fancies him too. Disappointed in love, Johan withdraws to the big city, where he makes the rounds of talent scoutings, dedicating his songs to Evy. It turns out that Evy is not insensitive to this.
