Up-close comment-less documentary about the daily life of a mentally handicapped teenager and his carers. Due to his autism and extreme sensitivity to stimuli, Jeroen needs constant care.

‘No Jeroen, put that down.’ ‘Take it easy.’ While waiting for the bus that will take the autistic Jeroen to daycare, his mother repeats it almost like a mantra: ‘Don’t, Jeroen.’ Due to his disorder, Jeroen is very sensitive to stimuli. The filmmakers captured 24 hours from this teenager’s life. Shot from up close, without comment, they show how his carers constantly try to keep Jeroen on the right track.
