Feature début (with co-director Fow Pyng Hu) tells in an observational style the story of Jacky (25). The son of Chinese immigrants, living in an suburban house in Eindhoven with his mother, Jacky leads a lazy life. He is not ambitious and thinks his uninspiring job serving coffee aboard commuter trains is just fine. This life would appear to change when Jacky should marry a Chinese girl, in accordance with Chinese tradition. The girl is Chi-Chi, a respectable and shy new arrival in Holland, and a real disappointment to his mother. While Jacky is at work, Chi-Chi tries to look after the housekeeping in their new apartment in Amsterdam and find her feet. A little too literally. A superficial friend enusures a commotion, but the question remains whether Jacky will ever change.
