Part three of the series Jaargang '94 (The 1994 Year) reporting on the ups and down of a group of students at the Amsterdam Drama School. The first episode entitled De schifting (The Selection) showed the selection year 1993-1994. The second part entitled Impulsen (Impulses) follows the students who were admitted to the basic year and also looks at the alternative route for those who missed the boat. High-minded Insolence, number three in the series, continues to follow the drama-school students and the drop outs from the 1994 year. In two parallel story lines, the development of the students is compared with that of the drop outs who fight their own fight to realise their dreams.
