What happened exactly on that fatal evening when young Crimson was shot dead in the local supermarket? In this animation, his best friend Imani and the policeman who shot him each tell their version of the event.
Watch the accounts of the young black girl Imani and the inexperienced white policeman David. They each tell what they claim is the truth surrounding the death of Crimson, a sensitive and withdrawn black boy and Imani’s best friend. With his first film, director Robert-Jonathan Koeyers makes you think about subjective memories, prejudice and the question whether you will ever know the whole truth. It is no surprise this short animation was selected for last year’s Semaine de La Critique de Cannes.
