Commissioned documentary film about the emigration of Dutchmen to Canada, which started in the late 19th century and was at its height in the years right after World War II. Today, some 500,000 people of Dutch descent are living in Canada. To what extent they distinguish themselves from other Canadians? Why did they leave Holland? What is their contribution to the Canadian society and culture? Along with historian Herman Ganzevoort, who as a child also emigrated to Canada, Nico Crama went looking for the answers.
