After a traumatic experience during his flight from Syria, eleven-year-old Kinan develops a fear of water. When he starts taking swimming lessons, he realizes he must overcome his trauma.

Despite his father Hassan’s efforts to build a new life in the Netherlands, 11-year-old Kinan clings to the warm memories of his home in Syria. After a traumatic experience during his escape from the country, he developed a fear of water. When Kinan is confronted with this anxiety during his first swimming lesson in the Netherlands, he gradually realises he will have to face his trauma in order to move forward in life. A poetic short film about family, friendship, childhood and identity.
