Short animated film that abstractly and poetically depicts the arrival of spring. Two woodpeckers set spring in motion with their rhythmic rapping. Inspired by artist Han Bennink’s work.
Two woodpeckers jointly announce a new spring. To the rhythm of their hammering, nature comes to life. Prinsen got the idea for this abstract, poetic animation when he saw some art projects by Han Bennink. Bennink is known from his drumming career and energetic art. Both Bennink and Prinsen draw a lot of inspiration from nature and like to make situations sprout.
