Experiences of Dutch East Indie veterans.
Episode from a series of conversations Frans Bromet had with old soldiers from the Dutch East Indies about their experiences during the conflict between the Netherlands and Indonesia. The former NCO H. Van Groenendaal, went to the Dutch East Indies to drive the Japanese out, but was detatched to the Department of Special Troops and was the right-hand man of the notorious Captain Westerling.
