When millennial Julia is forced to move back in with her boomer father, the conflict of generations is apparent in the question whether or not to fell an old tree in front of their house.
Due to the housing crisis, Julia (26) is forced to move back in with her father Piet (70). Despite their fine relationship, their outlooks on life are very different: Julia lives very consciously and is worried about the earth — her father still wants to enjoy the luxuries of life in his old age. This debut film demonstrates how the conflict of generations escalates when Piet, for reasons of safety (and extra hours of sunshine), wants to fell an old tree, which triggers strong resistance in Julia. Until she realises that she may be just as hypocritical as her father, and her militancy has its limits too.
