When Lisanne Melchiors bids farewell to her native island Aruba, she leaves behind her family, nature and the sun. The Netherlands turns out to be a rough, chilly landing with a lot of noise, bicycles and loneliness. The hole is black. But then something else emerges. Gradually, Melchiors builds a new home in a new country, in this short animation.
