At the age of 12, Emma (Hanna van Vliet) was diagnosed with cancer. Now that she has conquered the disease, she wants to make up for the lost teenage years. This promises a life full of unexpected choices and bizarre turns, in this drama series.
I Don't Fall, I Dance tells the whirlwind life story of Emma Maas. Emma is a young woman bursting with a zest for life. She was declared incurably ill as a teenager, but against all odds she has recovered. We meet her at the point where she can finally start living. She takes us from Utrecht to New York and from the meadows of Portengen to the canals of Amsterdam. Emma lives with abandon and meets every challenge with a hefty dose of resilience and swarthy humor. But no matter how hard she lives, reality always catches up with her. I Don't Fall, I Dance is a feel-good drama series about trial and error and inspires to keep dancing even when life trips you up.
