Animation shows Anna following her heart to her painful and recognisable first relationships. Looking for seduction and comfort, her bed and her house play a very special role.
Anna (18) trustingly follows her beating heart — literally. This opens the door to her very first romantic relationship, with an affectionate and clingy couch, that is. After this relationship has ended and more dramatic breakups follow, Anna and her heart grapple with the intense heartache that failed love causes them. When she, after (what seemed like) the perfect one-night stand, is roughly thrown out of the bed, they decide something must change. With this tragicomic animation, director Aisha Madu wants to make broken-hearted people smile at the sad side of love.
