Time and space in a strange dance. Observatories and radio telescopes, our windows to the cosmos, file past in a poetic panorama in which time takes on a different speed.
Starry and cloudy skies, landscapes in strange colours, movement that is both accelerated and decelerated; this sets the tone in this experimental film, in a series of images from observatories that are directed at the cosmos. From Møn Dark Sky Park via the Einsteinturm and other observatories to the radio telescope in Westerbork. The eerie colour schemes and mysterious soundtrack are the result of techniques for deep-gazing into the universe. In the final shot, we hear some samples from Francis Ford Coppola's classic paranoid surveillance filmThe Conversation.
