When their father is hospitalised, thirteen-year-old Kos and his three sisters suddenly have to run the family hotel. Not an easy task, because Kos does not understand his sisters at all, and vice versa. And he is madly in love to boot. Sjoerd Kuyper turned the screenplay into a book, which subsequently won a Zilveren Griffel and was proclaimed children’s book of the year byde Volkskrant. For director Ineke Houtman, this is now the fourth film collaboration with Sjoerd Kuyper.
