Documentary made to mark the 320th anniversary of the University of Utrecht (In those days 'Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht'). 'Hora Est' are the liberating words that conclude the cross-examination preceding graduation. A former student wanders around Utrecht in winter and visits the various faculties where he gets an impression of education and research at the university in the fifties.
