When grandma’s dog dies, granddaughter Luna helps her bury it. But what happens when you’re dead? Luna would love to make a hole and peep inside.
When grandma’s dog collapses in front of her eyes, it constitutes little Luna’s first acquaintance with death. Together they bury Stella in the garden, and with respect to any questions the child may have grandma feels: Let’s forget it. But Luna wants to size up the situation herself and to grandma’s horror she starts digging to check whether one does indeed turn into a star after dying. In this melancholy animation, with its blue and orange palette, the vital question is answered light-heartedly but thoroughly.
