Documentary follows graphic designer Piet Schreuders who, for the first time in his life in Los Angeles and Hollywood, can give full rein to his fascination with America and the letters and symbols used over there. In L.A., he looks at letters of street signs, newspaper headlines and billboards and talks to experts. He also pays a visit to the location in Hollywood where The Music Box was shot, in which Laurel and Hardy drag a piano up a tall flight of stairs.
