Around 1930, Kees Vendrik filmed some dancing boys by the sea on Java. The children's movements are intriguing, because they are too cultivated for their age. Filmmaker Roos Geevers discovered this black-and-white footage on her mother's attic on 3 January 2000. She re-edited the images in such a way that she brought about a new movement.
