A romantic film poem in which water in various appearances serves as the leitmotif for a journey with an unknown destination. Loosely based on Jorge Luis Borges’ poem Arte Poética.
Nearly stagnant water in a glass, pattering drops from the shower, streaming water in a river and dripping tap water from a well; in this poetical, romantic documentary, water is the leitmotif. Just as it is in Jorge Luis Borges’ poem Arte Poética, which appears in textual contributions and is occasionally recited by the author himself. The images, partly in colour, partly in grainy black and white, display a mix of film techniques.
