Television solo from the IKON TV series Eye to Eye, based on an original screenplay by famous Dutch writer Jan Wolkers. An aging man is planting trees in a lonely wintery landscape in the dunes. He keeps a wood fire burning and occasionally walks into an old bunker to fetch tools or to look at his pots of seeds. The man's movements are slow. In the silent landscape, he is sunk in contemplation and the viewer hears him thinking about his elder brother who died of dyptheria in the late summer of 1944. The moving event left an indelible mark on the life of the old man. As he reflects, he realises that time is a magnifying glass that gets more powerful as it passes.
