Tragicomedy about a family commemorating the fourth anniversary of their mother's death. After Mass, some games, food and a lot of booze, more and more suppressed feelings come to the surface, and tension mounts.
Adaptation of Hugo Claus's novel Omtrent Deedee and play Interieur. Tragicomedy is set in the rectory of a village priest - respecting the unities of time, place and action - where a family commemorates the fourth anniversary of their mother's death. After Mass, some games, food and a lot of booze, more and more suppressed feelings come to the surface, while tension mounts. Especially when the gay son of Albert (Jan Decleir) commits an act of despair that night.
