An exploration of the unfathomable depths of mourning. On 8 June 1998, 20-year-old Ricco leaves his parental home in Noord-Holland for a ride on his motorbike. On a curve in a narrow country road he slips, skids under an oncoming car and dies on the spot. Stories of his surviving relatives show how Ricco's death initially hurls the family into hell. But eventual time offers solace and a chance of acceptance. The different perspectives - the father, mother, sister, bosom friend, the man who saw him last and the minister - paint a palette of faces and insights.
