When Isa’s husband forgets her birthday, something snaps. In her confrontation with her lost ambitions and role as a housewife, she loses her grip on reality.
This graduation film follows Isa, who finds herself at a crossroads in her life. Two years after graduating from art school, she has achieved few of her ambitions. Instead, she married Dean, who is working hard on his promising boxing career. Isa spends all day in their outdated mobile home, trapped in her role as a housewife, burdened by all the household chores. When Dean forgets her birthday, something snaps inside Isa. Her anger and frustration grow, while slowly she loses her grip on reality.
This film is part of the NFF Studentencompetitie and nominated for the KNF Award 2025. The winner will be announced on Monday, September 29th, during the Talent Awards Ceremony at the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.
