The very affluent art collector Helene Kröller-Müller lived in a hunting lodge designed by the architect Hendrik Berlage on the Veluwe Hills until her death in 1939. She had previously subscribed to unusual mystical, philosophical and spiritual ideas. In a short documentary, Verhagen portrays her former butler. In a penetrating portrait, he gives a picture of his boss in a once-so-glorious age.
