‘The beginning of a case always seems hopeless, but that’s no argument not to start it.’ A documentary about human rights attorney Liesbeth Zegveld, who counsels surviving relatives who charge the State for executing Moluccan hijackers of a train at De Punt in 1977. Hijackers Papilaja and Uktolseja were shot by Marines inside the train, although they were unarmed and seriously injured. Zegveld’s character and persistence and the choices she makes during the lawsuit constitute the basis of this documentary. During the legal procedure, which takes years, she has the feeling she has to fight for every inch. At the same time, she claims she has never had such a strong case before.
