The fact the 11-year-old Dalou has no father is not necessarily a problem, according to his best friend Coco. They’ll just find a ‘surrogate father’. Their quest turns out to be harder than expected and puts their friendship to the test.
Dalou (11) knows only one thing about his deceased father: he was a writer. For this reason, the boy is now working on a book describing the life of his best friend Coco. The book takes a turn when Coco proposes to look for a ‘surrogate father’ for Dalou for the parent-child sports event at school. When the plan seems to succeed, Coco grows jealous and, in this short debut film, that which is most dear to them is at stake: their friendship.
