Footage of an exclusive beach club in Peru forms the core of this artistic exploration of how we relate to the places we hold dear. Filmmaker Daniel Jacoby tells, three times over, the story of a beach in Lima that he visited as a child with his parents. He recalls the people, the symmetrically arranged parasols and brightly coloured boats. How different it was three centuries earlier, when a European naturalist collapsed on the same beach and was visited by a vulture. What happened on that beach exposes a prejudice that will outlive them both.
