Observing documentary about the realisation of transience and how we deal with it. Since Frits was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his physical decline goes hand in hand with the deterioration of his house full of memories.
Frits suffers from Parkinson’s disease. For the past forty years, he has been living in a monumental villa in Scheveningen, crammed with books and laden with memories. With great fondness, he single-handedly improved and renovated it all these years. He and his home are inseparable. But since his diagnosis, he is less and less capable to maintain it. His physical decline goes hand in hand with the deterioration of the house. In this documentary, he gradually loses his independence, but he is not ready to let go yet.
