An Irish politician fights for climate justice in a world full of crises and growing public resistance. His autistic son is the driving force behind his tireless pursuit of a better world.
In Ireland, minister Eamon Ryan and his team have succeeded in enshrining one of Europe's most ambitious climate action plans into law, but he also faces angry citizens unwilling to give up their diesel cars or cheap flights. His bond with his son Tommy, who has autism, mirrors the patience also needed in politics. Calm, composed and with an iron determination, Eamon's mantra "we can do this" is just as relevant to the climate movement as it is to caring for his son. An intimate, observational film focused on the human side of politics.
