Short documentary about the question whether it’s every adopted person's duty to look for his or her biological mother. What if you don’t feel the desire to meet her?
Filmmaker Tomas Ponsteen was adopted as a baby from Brazil in 1994. He is happy with his Dutch adoptive parents and does not have the desire to look for his biological mother. Is this strange? He is aware that there is serious abuse surrounding adoption and distressing news reports fuel questions. In this personal documentary, he dives into the matter after all, for example by talking to people who got to know the adoption process from other perspectives. What do they think of the fact Tomas does not want to meet his biological mother?
