A dynamic Rotterdam working-class neighbourhood makes room for luxury homes. Different cameras, including infrared and drones, trenchantly visualise the destructive consequences for former residents of the Tweebosbuurt.
The Tweebosbuurt neighbourhood in Rotterdam was demolished to make room for luxury homes, forcing the original residents to leave their houses. Because the film uses different camera types, the viewer keeps switching between contrasting perspectives– of the system and of the people affected by it. This way, the film lends a voice to the uprooted residents of a once dynamic neighbourhood, exposing the global problem of gentrification in big cities.
