With more than 2.5 million visitors, Haanstra's feature début is the most successful Dutch feature film of all time after Turks Fruit. The shooting of the popular comedy took place in Giethoorn, with its numerous canals and rising tourism. A dispute within the brass band leads to a split up into two bands, which both want to participate in the brass band festival. The authorities - the mayor and one policeman - try to smooth the ruffled feathers. In 2007 admitted to the "Canon van de Nederlandse Film", a list of the most important Dutch films.
